Fairfield Farmers Market Begins 10th Season on June 8th

The Town of Fairfield’s Parks and Recreation Department is happy to announce the return of the popular summer downtown Fairfield Farmers Market on Sunday, June 8th.  The market will be held every Sunday 10AM-2PM, rain or shine, at the Sherman Green in downtown Fairfield.  Now in its 10th season, the Fairfield Farmers Market features over 40 farms, small batch food producers and local artisan makers. Four Connecticut farms will offer fresh seasonal vegetables, fruit and salad greens.  In addition to produce, vendors will offer other essentials such as meat, eggs, fish, bread, salami, honey, sweet treats, CBD products, kombucha, fresh flowers, pickles, vegan provisions, savory pies, fresh mozzarella, hot sauce, pet products, prepared foods, locally distilled spirits and cider, unique artisan crafts and more.

The Fairfield Farmers Market is fun for the whole family, featuring live music at the gazebo and story hours with Fairfield Library throughout the season.  Community partner, Food Rescue US, returns this season to gather vendor food donations for local food pantries.  Sustainable Fairfield will also be on hand providing recycling info and sharing sustainability initiatives.  Anthony Calabrese, Director of Fairfield Parks and Recreation, says,  “We are excited to host this popular community event every Sunday on the historic Sherman Green.  Come support your local farms and enjoy the best seasonal products around.”
