Our town is blessed with five miles of Connecticut coastline, including five picturesque beaches. There are a variety of exciting and family-friendly activities available, watersports right on the beach, wide-open stretches and elegant ocean-view event spaces. Fairfield is an alluring opportunity for anyone looking to spend time in the sand.

Entrance to all 5 Fairfield Beaches is free and open to the public but Memorial Day Saturday to Labor Day, a beach sticker is required to park.  In season, Jennings and Penfield Beaches may be accessed with a sticker or by paying a daily fee at the gate. Access to Southport, Sasco and South Pine Creek Beaches is for residents only during this time, who must purchase a seasonal beach sticker.

  • Residents and visitors alike can visit Jennings or Penfield Beach by obtaining a beach permit or paying the daily parking fee.

    For a peaceful escape and open to residents with a beach permit, South Pine Creek and Sasco Beaches are local favorites, offering serene settings, gentle waves, and fewer crowds - perfect for a calming day by the water.   • Summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day) is the prime season with amenities, lifeguards, and events are in peak season. Early fall and spring offer peaceful, scenic visits with fewer crowds and dog-friendly access, especially at off-leash beaches like Jennings Beach. 

  • With each season offering a unique way to enjoy Fairfield beaches, the best time to visit depends on your preferences. Summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day) offers the greatest number of amenities, lifeguards, and events, along with warm sands and sunshine. Early fall and spring offer peaceful, scenic visits with fewer crowds and dog-friendly access. And don’t forget about the winter season, which offers the unique beauty of snow on the sand, piquing the interest of local photographers.

  • Fairfield beaches only charge for beach parking. Entrance to all 5 Fairfield Beaches is free and open to the public after Labor Day and before Memorial Day. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Jennings and Penfield Beaches may be accessed with a sticker or by paying a daily parking fee at the gate. Access to Southport, Sasco, and South Pine Creek Beaches is limited to residents who have purchased a beach sticker. The daily parking fees for Penfield and Jennings beaches are as follows: 

    • $40.00 - Weekdays 

    • $50.00 - Weekends & Holidays (for the July 4th Fireworks).
