Fairfield Arts Commission: Spotlight Series - Christine Quinn

Meet Christine Quinn, an artisan specializing in all things leather, silver, and turquoise.

For Christine, being a part of the Fairfield arts community has given her a sense of community, especially when working at The Studio, helping the younger generation find their footing with their artistic voice in the Town where she’s lived her whole life. She shared that “When participating in shows at The Art Place, it made me feel more connected with my grandmother who was a very important part of my life.”

Christine’s grandmother, Elisa Khachian, has played a profound role in her life, especially in nurturing her understanding of storytelling across a variety of mediums. She continued, “A vibrant presence in the Fairfield arts community, my grandmother exhibited her work at The Art Place for over 30 years and often invited me to participate in shows alongside her.” Christine went on to share that the two share a very special bond “through our mutual love for art and our connection to RISD, where we both studied. Reminiscing about the magic of that place and how fortunate we were to experience it together remains one of my most cherished memories.”
